Standard machining
Choose Additional machining when the familiar processing cards do not describe the form you need. Pick an operation, a reference side and a legal group, then edit its physical parameters. The group selects the end or tool side according to that definition.
The catalogue includes roof and longitudinal cuts, ridge laps, notches, stair and log-house forms, sheathing cuts, front mortises, dovetails, decorative profiles, spherical surfaces and triangle cuts. It also offers the standard forms of the familiar drillings, tenons, pockets, markings and scarves. Parameter names follow the BTL specification. Width, height and margins refer to the chosen reference side.
Reference plane moves and rotates the operation within that side’s coordinates. Enter the origin in millimetres and turn its three axes in degrees. A housing can link to its tenon or mortise by identity. A transform that cannot preserve a form exactly is refused with a reason; edit its parameters or reference plane instead.
For ordered paths, choose Free contour. Switch between open and closed, select the tool side, add arcs, set individual wall inclinations, or add a corresponding lower outline. Keep both outlines’ segment types and point counts equal. Milling a closed area and following a path are separate choices.
The 3D preview uses nominal geometry where the receiver chooses a tool, rounding or roughing strategy. Compound roof, lap and log-house details use approximate envelopes; dovetail cutter flanks depend on the machine. The export preserves the specified parameters and lists interpretations that need receiver inspection. Check the receiving software before cutting.
BTL exports these forms in the selected profile and precision. BTLx, BVN and BVX list native standard-machining forms as omitted machining. Accept those losses only if you will finish the omitted work manually.
