Parts editor

The Parts view with a post selected and its list of extra processings

Parts is where you edit each part of the cutting list. Select a part on the left; its drawings show in the middle and its fields on the right.

Add a part

Section titled “Add a part”
  1. Click Add part in the parts list, or use Edit > Add part….
  2. Pick a Profile. Click + new next to it to add a size.
  3. Set Quantity and Length.
  4. Pick the shapes for Start processing and End processing.
  5. Click Create part.

End shapes

Section titled “End shapes”

Each end is Square, Single bevel, Single half bevel, Double bevel, Compound or Double tilted. A shape other than Square asks for its angles and sizes.

Extra processings

Section titled “Extra processings”

Under Extra processings, click Add and search the list. See the processing index for every type.

  • Tick several processings to Delete, Mirror or open More actions: move, duplicate, repeat, group, align, distribute or Save as pattern.
  • Press the arrow keys to move the selection 1 mm, or 10 mm with Shift.
  • A saved pattern works on any part in any project on this device.

Drawings

Section titled “Drawings”

Switch each viewport between 2D and 3D. Pick a view mode: Clean, Dimensions or Machine. In 2D, pick which side to show.

  • The workspace: Find your way around Zaaglijst Studio: the menu bar, the project bar, the parts list, the viewports and the properties panel.
  • Processing index: Every processing in Zaaglijst Studio at a glance: drillings, notches, mortises, tenons, joints and markings. Filter by group and level.
  • Fitting workspace: Build a 3D assembly of members in Fitting. Every member becomes a part, and the joints where members meet are worked out for you.
  • Import a 3D model: Keep a GLB or glTF model in the library and use it as a reference model to draw over in the fitting workspace.
  • Projects dashboard: The Projects dashboard lists every cutting list on this device. Create, open, duplicate and delete projects, or start an import or scan.
  • Export files: Export a PDF cutting list, CSV, technical drawings, a project backup and BTLx, BVN or BVX machine files. See what blocks an export.
