Japanese tenon

Deze inhoud is nog niet vertaald.

A Japanese tenon splices two parts end to end: a narrow neck, then a head that holds the other part once it is dropped into its Japanese mortise, often over a lap that carries the load.

Japanese tenon, drawn as in the Add dialog
Japanese tenon. Drawn by the editor's own geometry code.

Use it to lengthen a plate or a purlin where a scarf would be too long, or where the joint should lock without pegs. Put a Japanese mortise with the same numbers on the end of the other part.

BTLx writes every field and the export notes that it rests on the BTLx manual alone. BVN writes operation 1710 in the shop’s test pack only; that operation carries one width, so the rest of the shape is the machine’s tool. BVX and BTL have no element for it: the export lists it as a machining loss.

FormatStatusDetails
BTLxPartly supportedJapaneseTenon with every field, read back on import. Written from the BTLx manual alone, so the export notes that without blocking.
BVN (Hundegger)Partly supportedExperimental, included with a warning unless you leave it out: operation 1710, which carries one width, the taper, the flat bottom, the offset and the lap; the rest of the shape is the machine's tool.
BVX2 (Hundegger)Not writtenNo BVX element for a Japanese tenon is known: it is listed as a machining loss.
BTL 10.6Not writtenBTL has no Japanese tenon process: it is left out with a loss.

BTL status describes what the specification can represent. CAMBIUM imported our earlier BTL test files; confirmation applies to the tested forms and build. See BTL coverage for representation and receiver caveats.
